Good to know

Located just a couple blocks from Maine Medical Center and the Western Promenade, this private one-bedroom apartment, located on the second floor, is walking distance to the Arts District, Deering Oaks Park, and numerous restaurants, stores, and coffee shops. Views of Back Bay can be seen from the living room from November through April. Parking available for compact cars only. Fresh towels, linens, toilet paper, paper towels and basic kitchen items (pots and pans, plates, glassware, mugs, cutlery). Please be prepared to supply your own food (including spices/oil), drinks (including coffee/tea), personal products and other items that you might need to have a comfortable stay. With Portland's sought after food scene, we have found that most guests opt to dine out rather than cook in the apartment. For that reason we keep the kitchen extremely bare boned in order to cut down on unused items. A Smart TV is provided should guests have their own streaming services. *no cable or streaming service is provided by the host* The bedroom has air conditioning during the warmer months. Other Details to Note

***WINTER PARKING: If we should have a snow storm, the day after the storm, we are required to remove all cars from the parking area so it can be properly cleaned out. From 9am through 3pm cars must be moved. Closest street parking with no time restrictions is about a half mile away so its a good time to explore the sites downtown or in our neighboring cities! The host will message through the Airbnb website/app the day of snow removal and any car left in the parking area will be charged a $100 fee***

Katrina’s home was the most perfect spot for our weekend and first time in Portland! It was clean, cozy, beautifully decorated, and a close walk to Downtown and the Arts District. Whatever wasn’t a close walk, was a quick, cheap uber ride. The proximity to Tandem Coffee and Bakery was also a huge plus, we found ourselves there every morning haha. I appreciated the detailed description of where we were allowed to park/how to enter the apartment etc, it was very helpful and made the check in process so easy and smooth. I also thought the booklet in the living room with all the recommendations was a sweet touch. It is very close to Maine Medical Center so we did hear sirens sometimes, but as people who were raised in a city near Boston, the sirens and noise wasn’t an issue at all for us. Overall we had a wonderful stay at this lovely home!! Katrina was a great host, and this spot was exactly what we were looking for! We would stay here again in the future for sure! :)

This was a perfect place for our stay - convenient to both downtown Portland and 495 to come and go. Tandem Coffee is right nearby as are a number of good restaurants. The view from up on the hill was lovely, with the leaves off the trees you could see Back Cove in the distance. The noise from the hospital next door wasn't as bad as I expected, I was worried there would be sirens 24/7 but that wasn't the case, it was actually quite peaceful & quiet.

Katrina’s place in Portland was exactly what we needed for a weekend getaway from Boston. It was easy to find, quick to access, and had everything needed for the weekend. The apartment was walkable, cozy, and perfectly sized for two people. She was a friendly and responsive host and even provided a massive list of local recommendations in a binder on the coffee table. Thank you Katrina!

Katrina’s spot is wonderful! We spent most of the time exploring Portland but its convenient location let us come back to home base to regroup. Walkable to many spots or a quick ride or Uber to downtown. Ubers were available and inexpensive FYI. Easy check in and checkout instructions. The place itself was bare but had the essentials and was clean. A lot of reviews mentioned the sound levels due to proximity of the hospital but it didn’t particularly bother us. This is a great spot, I would absolutely recommend!
