Good to know

This historic home was built in the early 1800s and has served many purposes. What started as a single family home turned into an antique store, then converted to a rooming house, morphed into a bed and breakfast in the 1980's, and recently dropped the breakfast to serve Airbnb guests near and far. The location of the Inn at Park Spring cannot be beat. We are located downtown, just a half mile walk to the center of the Old Port. Our neighborhood offers you a central spot located in the heart of the arts district, on the edge of the tranquil west end neighborhood, and just a stones throw to museums, art galleries, theaters, restaurants, shops, and bars. With just six guest rooms, our inn offers a peaceful stay, satisfying social guests or those seeking solace. Each private room, with private en-suite bath, is furnished with a queen sized bed, white noise machine, a reading chair (or couch depending on the room), and a mini fridge. Five guestrooms share the sitting room located on the first floor which has a coffee station and luggage nook for guests who need storage before and/or after check out. A Smart TV is provided should guests have their own streaming services. *no cable or streaming service is provided by the host* ***WINTER PARKING: If we should have a snow storm, the day after the storm, we are required to remove all cars from the parking area so it can be properly cleaned out. From 9am through 12pm cars must be moved. Closest street parking with no time restrictions is about a half mile away so its a good time to explore the sites downtown or in our neighboring cities! The host will message through the Airbnb website/app the day of snow removal and any car left in the parking area will be towed at owners expense***

Katrina's place is exactly as described; the pictures are accurate. Katrina was proactive in her communications and always responsive. The home is a beautifully restored building in a classic New England city neighborhood filled with brick buildings with towering brick chimney's and brick sidewalks. It feels classic, classy and historic. One block off of Congress means easy access to top shelf restaurants, bars, lounges, creative little shops and an old fashioned barber, while so much more to do is all within 5-15 minute walks. Katrina provides one of the most comprehensive 'local' guides you will ever find, detailing some things about the property, but also offering things to do and an exhaustive list, with descriptions, of nearly every single restaurant, bar and hang out surrounding the home. Our room (#2) was conditioned with a modern heat pump mini-split, allowing us to heat (or cool) to our comfort. Bed was comfortable, linens were spotless. We will stay here again!

Great location. Walking access to Downtown Portland, many restaurants/bars, and the State Theater where we took in a show. The room was clean with a comfortable bed and large bathroom for our short stay. Parking was free and convenient to the place, though not on site. We would highly recommend for a weekend jaunt up to this beautiful and happening little city.

We have now stayed here twice. We go on a Christmas trip every year and have stayed at many airbnbs. We booked Katrina’s place again because it was our favorite stay and we love the Portland area. Will definitely stay again in the future:)

The Inn is as quaint and appealing as described. Instructions are clear and complete. The rooms (at least #2) is large, comfortable and nicely appointed. The location is outstanding and very walkable. Our stay was enhanced by Katrina's fine Inn. Well-worth the price we paid. Loved it.
